We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist (Miller) to join our team working to EN9100 standards in the aerospace and defence sectors.
Located in Brentwood Essex offering
Salary's between: £17 - £22 per hour (depending on experience)
Full time / Permanent position
Working day shift of 39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm / Friday 8am -3.30pm
Overtime available 6am-6pm + Saturday mornings

Key role and accountabilities
- To set and operate CNC milling machines.
- Produce accurate, high quality components with maximum efficiency.
- Competently set and operate Mazak CNC horizontal and vertical machining centers.
- Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standards.
- To work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing processes.
- Quality check your finished components.
- Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and machine area.
- Working to EN9100 standards.
Core skills/attributes needed:
- Fully skilled/experienced/time served CNC setter/operator
- Experience on horizontal and/or vertical milling machines
- Able to interpret engineering drawings
- Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment (Micrometers/calipers/gauges)
- Computer literate
- Be able to concentrate and produce quality finished components
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Able to apply good practical skills
- Ability to follow written instructions
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Able to work safely and follow all health and safety protocols
- Excellent hand-to-eye coordination
